Functions

Direction of Social Order of Rural Property and Productive Use of the Soil shall have the following functions:

1. Designing and evaluating the policies, plans, programs and projects for rural development with territorial approach aimed to titling, formalization, restitution and in general the regularization of rural land ownership.
2. Designing and evaluating the policies, plans, programs and projects for rural development with territorial approach, aimed to the suitability of land for agriculture, efficient use of rural soil and the rural land market.
3. Propose rules, instruments and procedures to allow the titling, formalization, restitution and in general the regularization of rural land ownership, in concordance with the guidelines defined by the Planning Unit of Rural Land, Adequacy of Land and Agricultural Uses - UPRA.
4. Develop regulations, instruments and procedures for the suitability of land for agricultural purposes, efficient use of rural land and rural land market, in accordance with the guidelines defined by the Planning Unit of Rural Land, Land Improvement and Agricultural Uses - UPRA.
5. Designing and evaluating the policies, plans, programs and projects of rural development with territorial approach, aimed at the establishment of collective territories for ethnic groups.
6. Contribute in the framework of its competence in the design and implementation of rural development programs with territorial approach.
7. Perform the follow-up to the implementation of the policy, plans, programs and projects for the social order of rural property and the productive use of the soil by the affiliated and linked institutions to the sector.
8. Articulate and arrange with the competent entities for the implementation of the plans, programs and projects of social order of rural property and productive use of the soil.
9. Identify and coordinate with the Legal Advise Office regulatory changes, procedural and institutional arrangements that may be required for the achievement of the goals and objectives of the policy of social order of rural property and productive use of the soil.
10. Define and generate the statistical information required for the Consultant Office of Planning and Prospective, analyze, interpret and allow documenting the making of decisions of both the Minister and Vice Ministers, within the areas of its competence.
11. Guide and participate, with the competent entities in the promotion and dissemination of research and studies aimed at social order of rural property and productive use of the soil.
12. Promote programs to their charge, seeking to boost resources through partnerships or schemes of cooperation between the State, the community and the private sector.
13. Coordinate with the Office of Information Technology and Communications technology developments and computing needs that may be required in the exercise of their functions.
14. Support the development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System and the observance of its recommendations in the field of its competence.
15. The other that are assigned and correspond to the nature of the dependency.
